Eduardo Scala

Eduardo Scala (Madrid, 1945) is a Spanish artist who uses words and letters to create a unique verbal/visual system. Formerly a chess champion, he now sees language itself as a complex and artistic system. Scala's works transcend the book format, with some poems stretching over 1000 meters and others designed to interact with buildings. He also incorporates actions, performances, and videos into his art. The Archivo Lafuente holds a collection of Scala's works, including artist books, collages, drawings, and exhibition materials.
