Lluis Lleó

Lluís Lleó, a painter and sculptor who splits his time between New York and Girona, is known for his geometric abstractions often incorporating organic forms. Since the 1990s, he's utilized oil, watercolor, and wax, even venturing into three-dimensional works with objects on the canvas. Lleó has also revitalized the ancient technique of fresco painting, linking his work to the Catalan Romanesque tradition and blurring the lines between painting and architecture. His art is featured in prestigious collections worldwide, including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the Nagoya Art Museum.
